An Indonesian worker from Kediri in Easth Java has dissappeared after working for seven years in Saudi Arabia Wednesday 24th November 2010. Before dissappearing the worker, named Nurdiana sent a letter to her family complaining of her employer's behaviour towards her.
Nurdiana an Indonesian worker from Damarmulan village in Kepung Kediri has dissappeared and her where abouts in unknown as for today. Nurdiana has worked in Saudi Arabia since March 5th 2003 and was sent to Saudi Arabia with the help of the Indonesian workers dispatching agency or PJTK. In Jakarta Nurdiana's family said that she sent some letters before disappearing complaining of her employer's treatment.
Nurdiana said that that the employer refused to give Nurdiana's monthly salary and only promised that all her salary would be paid when she returned home to Indonesia. The last lettter that Nurdiana sent to her family was in September 2007. In her last letter, Nurdiana said that she was forbiden to return home. Nurdiana also wrote in the letter that she was frustated with the employer's mistreatment and that she had tried to commit suicide a couple of times.
Nurdiana's husband Samsul Huda said that he was unable to contact her employer's phone number in Saudi Arabia. Nurdiana's family had reported her disappearence to the Kediri Manpower Office and also to DPR commission one. But no responce has been made so far. In fear of Nurdiana experiencing the same mistreatment as many Indonesian workers. Nurdiana's family can only hope the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will track down her where abouts.
