The Mendut temple in Magelang central Java is being cleaned Tuesday ( 16/11 ) from the mount Merapi volcanic ashes that has been covering the temple since the mountain first erupted. The mountain's eruption has caused a drop in tourist visits these past few weeks.
The cleaning process of the temple was conducted by conservation officials assisted by a number of army officials dispatched from Jakarta.
