The Paris Metro was rife with savoury smells when top Michelin Rated French Chefs went underground to cook in public and whet the appetities of travellers. Household names in French High-End cuisine such as bruno doucet of La Regalade Restaurant and Antoine Westermann of drouant restaurant prepared simple yet tasty calamari entree before surprised commuters.
Organised by metro authorities the spectacle hopes to open the closed often exclusive doors of French high cuisine to the general public by rendering it more accessible through the metro system. Although this was a way of democratising high cuisine for the public the superior quality of the dish was still evident.
Both metro passengers and culinary enthusiasts alike were pleased to find that something suited their palates. The art of French Gastronomy was recently recognised as an intangible cultural heritage by Unesco five more top French chefs will work their magic underground in the Paris Metro this coming wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
